LAWRENCE — The Lawrence Licensing Board approved five separate liquor and food-service permits in one session, all by unanimous 2-0 votes. Commissioners Morales and Lehrer cleared one-day alcohol licenses for La Greca and a fundraiser tied to Elevated Thought, an outdoor patio permit for the British Club, and Common Victualler licenses for a transferred business and a new bakery, Dulce Fresa. The board also approved a reconsideration of El Primo Mini Market's off-premises wine and malt license transfer, which attorney Brian Corrigan said has already been rejected twice by the state Alcoholic Beverages Control Commission over corporate-residency and financial-documentation issues.

"Hopefully this will be the last time," Corrigan told the board. A special meeting is set for September 3 on a softball tournament permit that still needs funding confirmed for a four-officer police detail.
